Monique is a lawyer in Brazil, with over twenty-five years of experience in corporate and regulatory law and strategic litigation — built at multinationals. In Portugal, she practises outside the scope of registered advocacy, but it is precisely there that the value of her experience becomes most evident: knowing what to ask, what to demand, and what not to let slide is a skill that does not depend on membership of any professional body.

In practice, Monique acts as the link between the client and Portuguese lawyers and solicitors — guiding due diligence, defining the offer strategy and ensuring that the buyer's interests are consistently protected by someone who represents them. The difference between having a lawyer who receives instructions and having a lawyer led by someone who knows the process from the inside.

And there is a dimension of Monique that her legal career does not exhaust: a natural ability to read spaces. Walking into a property, she sees the light flow, the underused proportions, the potential hidden by the current décor. This intuitive reading — developed into a genuine specialisation in interior design — becomes, when needed, a concrete project for reimagining the layout and renovating the space.

Carlos is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, trained in Brazil and a member of the Ordem dos Engenheiros de Portugal — which grants him recognised technical authority to manage and sign off on engineering projects in the Portuguese market. Over more than twenty years as a senior executive, he managed operations at scale — production units, international supply chains, teams of more than a hundred people, negotiations with partners in Norway, Chile and the United States.

It is with that mindset that he approaches every purchase process. It starts with market analysis — real INE indicators, price trends by municipality, appreciation cycles — so that the client enters the negotiation with data that most buyers simply do not have. From there, he takes on full project management: identifying the right opportunities, coordinating viewings, leading the negotiation and, when the property needs works, directing the entire coordination process — timelines, budgets, technical oversight.

The engineering credential from the OE is not merely an administrative detail: it is the guarantee that the works are overseen with genuine technical rigour.

The origin

December 2019. Porto.

In December 2019, Carlos and Monique arrived in Porto with a few suitcases, two children — Duda, then sixteen, and Victor, six — and a decision made. They had not come to explore. They had come to stay.

And over the months that followed, navigating contracts, construction budgets, licences and the bureaucracy of a country they were still getting to know, they realised that something was missing: someone who could simultaneously handle market data, purchase strategy, technical construction management and the ability to see in a property what it could still become.

That person did not exist. So they decided to be both.

From analysis to finished project, from the first data point to the last detail — we work on the side of whoever hires us.

Our interest is that every client reaches the right decision for their life — with the right property, at a fair price and with no legal surprises, or, when that is the case, with the decision to wait, rent, or not move forward.
